Medicate
Speech automation and recognition system for hospitals.
The system of docflow automation in healthcare centers of the UK. Doctors don’t waste time filling medical records by hand. Instead, they dictate a text during an appointment and then load the audio into the system. This audio file is converted into a note in a medical record and a letter for a patient.
The system stores documents, converts audio into texts, prepares and prints out letters and reports.
Initially the architecture allowed 3 000 records a day. We optimized and took away dozens of unnecessary database requests, changed the Entity framework to our own solution, and improved business logic. It increased load up to 80 000 records a day. Since the cooperation began, the client’s annual turnover has grown up to 35%, the product cost increased by 87% during last year.
The system is used by 45 000 health workers daily. 4 000 000 medical disposals were transcribed during 2015.
